On Saturday afternoon, Rowan students received an email detailing an assault at Holly Pointe Commons early Thursday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 Thursday morning as a female student was fondled by someone she described as an “intoxicated short black male.”
The female student encountered the male sleeping in a restroom, and as he awoke he followed her back to her room uninvited and attempted to enter her room.Read Full Article
It was a rainy Tuesday evening as New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy visited Rowan University to not only discuss the state of New Jersey politics, but also address some of the future plans the state has in store in regards to affordability, the economy, and job growth.Read Full Article
This afternoon, following an incident at the Rowan Boulevard parking garage, students and faculty came together to discuss issues revolving around the Wellness Center and its handling of student mental health.
The impromptu meeting was held on the front steps of the Wellness Center. Discussion between participants focused on the experiences of themselves and those of people they know, as well as what improvements they think could be made at Rowan.Read Full Article
At approximately noon today, an incident involving a student occurred at the Rowan Boulevard parking garage, as confirmed by Rowan Public Safety.
A male student fell from the parking garage near the Barnes & Noble and is in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital, according to an email to the university community by Joe Cardona, the vice president for university relations. Cardona declined to comment about the incident outside of the information provided in the email.Read Full Article
News broke on Thursday, December 5, of a Rowan student’s alleged fall from the parking garage on Rowan Boulevard. The news sent shockwaves across Rowan University, in a community already reeling from three suicide deaths throughout the semester.
