My name is Alexander Heller and I’m a journalism student in the greater Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey area. I’m an avid fan of documentaries that challenge people’s perspective in life, data driven stories, and stories that bring truth to light. I’m a firm believer in giving a voice to the voiceless, as well as the idea that everyone has a story to tell.
Although my goal is to be as versatile with my skills as possible, my primary focus is writing stories that appeal to the average reader, data analysis for more complex stories, and video production for stories that need more “flair” or “punch” to them.
Focusing on stories that affect the average person, including international events that affect people, has always been a dream of mine. I hope that one day I get to work with the Associated Press, Philadelphia Inquirer, NY Times, or another publication that lets me tell the stories that need to be heard.
Fingers crossed that happens. Until then, telling the stories of my community takes precedence and I love doing it every day.
