About

Alexander Heller is a freelance writer, photographer, and diehard cinephile based out of the Central New Jersey area (yes, it’s a real place).

His work has been seen and sourced by the New York Times, Philadelphia Magazine, Elections Daily, Ordinary Times, and The Whit Online. He traveled throughout New Jersey during the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic photographing historical events from President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Wildwood, N.J., to the George Floyd Protests in Asbury Park, N.J, as well as Election Day in Philadelphia, P.A.

His latest undertaking led him to be among the first Americans to enter Israel and the West Bank since the beginning of the COVID Pandemic, where he stayed between April and June of 2022 documenting the religious observances of the faithful and the daily lives of Israelis and Palestinians. His extended stay in the Levant also compelled him to personally journey into Egypt, where he made a pilgrimage to the summit of Mount Sinai and visited the Giza Pyramid Complex.

Tenacious, diligent, punctual, and fervently believes journalism at its heart provides a voice to the voiceless.
